Velonia privacy policy
Last updated 7 November 2026
Velonia is a cycling game for iPad made by Deep Seismic LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Velonia app.
The short version: Velonia doesn't collect any data about you. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the app doesn't connect to any server of ours. Everything it stores stays on your iPad.
What Velonia stores on your iPad
- Your profile: the name you enter, your weight, your FTP and how it was set, the names of your paired trainer and heart-rate strap, your kit colours, your settings and menu choices, and whether you've bought the unlock.
- Your ride history: for each ride, the date and time, average power, best 20 minutes, your place, and your average heart rate if you wore a strap.
- A file for each ride: second-by-second power, cadence, speed, your position on the game's course, and heart rate if you wore a strap.
The app uses this to run your races and workouts and to show your history. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, and we can't see it.
Velonia never asks for or records your location, and it doesn't use Apple Health.
Bluetooth
Velonia asks for Bluetooth permission so it can connect to your smart trainer, power meter and heart-rate strap. That's a local radio link between your iPad and those devices.
Exporting rides
When you tap Export FIT, Velonia makes a FIT file of that ride and opens the iPad's share sheet. The file goes only where you choose to send it, and from then on that service's privacy policy applies. Velonia's roads are fictional, so the map positions in the file are made-up points on open ocean, not where you are.
Purchases
The unlock is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your payment details or your Apple Account. Apple tells the app only whether the unlock has been bought. See Apple's privacy policy.
Crash reports from Apple
If you've turned on Share With App Developers in your iPad's Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics for Velonia with us. Apple decides what these contain, and we use them only to fix bugs. You can turn this off in the same place.
Backups and deleting your data
If you back up your iPad to iCloud or a computer, Velonia's files are included in that backup, which Apple handles. Deleting Velonia removes everything it stored from your iPad. An older backup keeps its copy until it's replaced.
Children
Velonia doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Velonia ever sends data off your iPad, for example to upload rides to a service you connect, we'll update this policy and the App Store privacy details before that version is released, and say here what changed.
